Dr. Beer is Professor Emeritus at the University of Detroit Mercy, and the founder of the Classic Theatre Study Abroad

program in Greece.  He holds Hopwood and Gesu playwriting awards, best actor awards from DePauw University, the

University of Michigan, and all of Metro Detroit’s dailies and periodicals, as well as best director and career achievement
