The Shelter Plays

JOHN ASHTON has been involved in theater – as a newspaper critic, producer, director, playwright, and actor – since Sophocles was a stage-hand. Several of his plays have been produced locally, including Murder Most Fowl, a comedy murder-mystery that ran at the Avenue Theater for five years. As an actor he has appeared in scenes with Bryan Cranston (Breaking Bad) and Robert Redford (Our Souls at Night), among others. John is a proud recipient of the Colorado Theatre Guild Lifetime Achievement Award.
