The Shelter Plays

Andy Brier pitched the idea for my play—WHAT?! I love humor and I love writing, so I hungrily accepted his gift. As a teacher who’s spent the last 42 years at North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC, I’ve published one educational book and a bunch (I believe the technical term is “slew.”) of journal articles. Before Andy anointed me playwright, I’ve been (and continue to be) a frustrated novelist (with book in hand about my semi-famous prep school rock band) looking for an agent.
